QT21: "Deriving Test Cases from Use Cases" - Margaet Harris, CSC. PDF Print E-mail
In this Object Oriented age, a primary requirements/design articulation tool is the use case. The contents of use cases are a gold mine of information for authoring test cases. This presentation shows test case authors how to derive test cases from use cases. The primary contents of a use case are related to the primary contents of a test case. Then there is a discussion on how to analyze sample use case to create a complete set of test cases and how to avoid some pitfalls in test case derivation. By the conclusion of this presentation, participants will learn how to associate use case contents to test case contents and how to derive test cases from the use case contents. How they can apply the information Participants can take their own application use case documentation and derive test cases from it.
